Hiya, my name is Cornelius, and I’m Frisian (not just a breed of cows) and Dutch. I was born in 1980 in the capital of Friesland (ie in The Netherlands) and I grew up in a village by the name of St. Annaparochie. I’m a student of English language and culture at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands and I’m currently on exchange in Glasgow. In Groningen, I regularly visit O Ceallaigh’s, which is a traditional music pub where they have sessions twice a week. In Glasgow I go to the Uisge Beatha where they also have sessions twice a week. I play tin-whistle, bodhran, spoons (a bit), and the great highland bagpipe. I also sing every now and then. Currently learning Scottish Gaelic (incl. songs).
