I was given a tin whistle on my birthday in February and an Irish music book. As I was going ot be alone for the following 30 days on my ship heading down the pacific it was the perfect gift. My latent interest returned. Having the woodwinds background and ability to read music I picked up the tin whistle very quickly and am now actively involved in the music. My mother was Irish and that being said, bars were her favorite hobby. I credit her with giving me the gift of music and I am now seeking out other musicians to play in sessiuns with.
