Christopher Brooks

I have performed professionally on the violin since the late 60’s and has been teaching since the early 70’s. My creative and individualist approach to teaching is deep rooted in the classical tradition, traceable back through Jascha Brodsky and Eugene Ysaÿe to the great Italian Virtuoso, Archangelo Corelli. In addition to my broad experience in orchestral and chamber music, I have performed with numerous improvisation-based ensembles: including folk, rock, jazz, Klezmer, and freely-improvised accompaniments for modern dance.
