I am from the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria. I have recently started to learn to play the tin whistle. I am currently using a Freeman Mellow Dog in D. The learning process is delightfully frustrating. I played the bagpipes for a year or so in my late teens but Nation Service intervened and sadly I didn’t get back to it. The fingering on the whistle is vaguely familiar so I am happy with the whole thing!
2018 Update. I am now about to embark on learning the concertina. The anglo 30 button c/g.
