I am a retired mechanical engineer with a lifelong love of music. I primarily play tuba (semi-professional, that is, I have gotten paid for playing, but never attempted to make a living doing it), but have long been fascinated with Celtic music. I have started playing around with the tin whistle and in my quest for a good sound, I now own a Clarke Original, a Jerry Freeman-tweaked Generation and a Susato, all in soprano D. Always looking for new music to try playing. I briefly studied bagpipes years ago under Donald Lindsay while living in Connecticut.
