Hello,

I am working for Cumbria PR and would like your help to promote an upcoming event.

Folk singer Eliza Carthy will perform at the Lakes School to mark the end of a three year project by environmental campaigners, Winderemere Reflections. She will be accompanied by other musicians including Saul Rose and Taffy Thomas.

The event will be taking place at the Lakes School on Thursday 24th July from 7.30pm. Tickets will be £8 and available from Esquires coffee shop in Ambleside and the Bowness Bay Brewery.

An exhibition of the environmental and community engagement work carried out by the WR team over the three years will be staged at the same event; refreshments will include locally brewed Mere Gold, the programme’s specially-commissioned ale from the Bowness Brewing Company.

Eliza has twice been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize for UK album of the year, in 1998 for Red Rice and again in 2003 for Anglicana.

Please feel free to contact Eileen Jones for more information on 07791 178903.

Thanks,

Emma Wilkinson
