Debbie Dingman
Greetings -- I’m a lover of all music, but especially Celtic and Irish folk. I live in Newberg, Oregon and have played piano for 52 years, penny whistle for 10, drums and percussion (kit, hand drums, congas, etc.) for about 20 years, and have taken up the concertina this last year after serving a Noel Hill concertina workshop several years ago where I’m employed as a cook (Tilikum Retreat Center). I have a Staggi that has been great to learn on and really enjoyed the concertina workshop I attended this last summer -- I am hooked! I’m looking for my next concertina that will journey with me to new levels of dexterity! I am just a beginner, but have found a true expression of my Irish heart in this instrument and in my penny whistle (and someday a bodrahn). I play drums/congas/percussion and some times play keyboard or sing at our worship gatherings at 2nd Street Community Church. I am happily married to Ron for 36 years, have 2 adult children, and 2 grand boys that are the joy of my life. I dream of visiting Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and England to see and hear and feel these places in person!
