Madoc

tunebook 53 tunes.

I was born (and will probably eventually die) in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I love music in all it’s rich & endless variety.
I bought a whistle a few years ago and have now about twenty.
I play low & high whistles, and I am (too slowly) slowly building my skill.
My favourite whistle is a plain, fixed pitch, Tony Dixon D bought in Galway.
My main aim in whistling was to learn the Belfast Hornpipe - success!
Bemoaning the fact that I am starting to play in my late forties!
I have two problems as a whistler - I am a butterfly & a magpie.
I also want to learn the flute - both low & high scale.
Why do I see high whistles everywhere in sessions, but high (fife) flute only in marching bands??
