I am not a session player. Rather, I perform as a part of a folk band that plays among other types, Irish traditional music. We perform largely at our local Renaissance Festival and at a variety of other local venues. This site has been a big help to me in learning how to perform the music in a more traditional style.
My primary instruments are octave mandolin (and its relative, the Irish bouzouki) and guitar. I also play some bodhran (when it suits the piece), tenor banjo and waldzither. I have been learning to play low whistles of late and hope to incorporate them into more of our music in the future.
I reside in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area USA.
