Kit Ashenhurst

My Grandparents left Ireland for England at the turn of the 18th/19th century after enlisting in the forces, and later their children joined the forces for the 1st World War. Most died. I came to Canada at the age 19 in 1967, and now live in a small community in Kaslo, BC. Canada.

Our session group Celtic Kitchen Party is so named because our sessions are held in a kitchen and we have a party each Monday playing Celtic music.

I play a Casey Burns silver mounted flute with a F natural and G# keys and formed a Session group a few years back made up of fiddles, flute, guitar, whistles, bodhrán and vocals.
