Hey all -- I am a history/social studies teacher and have been playing mainly bluegrass banjo for 30+ years. I’ve just recently begun my Celtic journey.

I am retired. My wife purchased an Irish whistle in the key of G for me at an Irish festival. I am just how learning to play it. I have much more time now to find pastimes. I am from Knoxville TN.

I live in Knoxville, TN and play guitar. I was born in New York, grew up and stayed in Tennessee. I knew I had Irish ancestry but recently I did the Ancestry.com and 23 and Me DNA thingies and turns out I have 78% Irish DNA, Ulster region.
