70 year old acoustic pianist who was just finally getting the hang of it.

I live in San Rafael, California, and learned Irish music at the Starry Plough in Berkeley back in the 1970s and 80s. I play bouzouki and pennywhistle (and some guitar and saxophone). I love tunes and songs both.

I’m from all over California and lived a bit in Texas as a teen. My mother was born in Bakersfield, and that’s who I get my Irish ancestry from. I’m coming to trad. irish music after playing decades of American Bluegrass, Country, Blues, and “Americana”.

I’m an old fart who lives in Fairfax, CA, north of San Francisco and originally I’m from Upstate New York near Syracuse.
