I’m a friendly nerd from Vermont who plays fiddle in a folk-grass band called Pinedrop.

I’ve been playing trad music since late September 2008, spending 3 years getting up to speed on hammered dulcimer (yes, in an Irish session), then fiddle for 7 years until my shoulder refused, and now English concertina.

I make and repair stringed musical instruments. Aged 64, I live in Brattleboro, Vermont, USA. I play the fiddle. I’ve been peeking in for quite a number of years now, and thought perhaps I should follow the suggestion to join!

I’ve just returned home (Vermont, US) from a week in the west of Ireland, after dreaming about it for 35 years. I am enamored and transformed by the experience, no small part of which was the music.
