My name is Andy Shanks from St Cyrus in Aberdeenshire Scotland. I sing and play Guitar and Octave Mandola. Best known as a singer songwriter but I also play ceilidhs so this is a great resource.

Originally from Wales mid/north now live in Kirriemuir Scotland ….play Hurdygurdy, Low Whistle, Bodhran and a few other stange things.

I play, badly, guitar, penny whistle, keyboard and fiddle, but, not all at the same time! Speak a bit of Scottish gaelic, really like gaelic song and traditional Scottish music. Also, I am a fan of traditional Irish music especially gaelic song.
