This band (in my humble opinion) are ones of those you have to see live if you get the chance. I saw them last month and they were excellent, entertainment at it’s best. The way they cruised from Irish to old time to the balkans was amazing. The cd suddenly got a lot more play time after that concert not enough before.
Andy Irvine,(bouzouki, mandolin, mandola, harmonica, vocals), Donal Lunny (bouzouki, guitar, bodhran), Rens Van Der Zalm (mandolin, fiddle, guitar), Bruce Molsky(vocals, fiddle, 5 string banjo), Nicola Parov (i can’t count that far or remember the names of all the strange instruments he played-a genius).
I’ve only had the pleasure of their music with the Balkan seasoning, it was fun…
