Traditional Music From Cape Breton

Great recording, I listened to it for the first time today. Excellent music-mostly fiddle but with two tracks of pipes.

Fiddles:
Jerry Holland
Buddy MacMaster
Natalie MacMaster
Carl MacKenzie
Brenda Stubbert
Dougie MacDonald
Howie MacDonald
John Morris Rankin
Dave MacIsaac

Piano:
Tracey Dares
Hilda Chiasson

Pipes:
Paul Mac Neil
Jamie MacInnis

Sadly, through some mix-up, track two with Jerry Holland was somehow not on my disc. Perhaps it was an errant copy. :(

Traditional Music from Cape Breton

The disc I listened to had one missing track. I wonder why.

Produced and recorded by Micheal O Suilleabhain and Robin Broadbank, the recordings were made in 1993, February 19th & 20th during the Cape Breton Island Festival organised by the Traditional Music Society of University College, Cork. The event was a festival where the traditional music, song and dance of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, the Canadian Maritimes, was the focus of a four day festival hosted by the Traditional Music Society and the Music Department of UCC, University College, Cork.
