This is a double CD which contains the session sets (all 104 tunes) published in the Comhaltas Foinn Seisiún Book 2. It should be very useful to anyone building up their session repertoire as all tunes are standards that one would hear at most sessions.

No links ?

Most of these tunes are in the database, so why are they not showing up as being “linked” to the “abcs” and sheet music ?

No Links

Have to agree with you Kenny that there’s something amiss here. I checked both Jenny’s Wedding and Jenny’s Chickens as well as Garett Barry’s and they’re all in the database!

Apostrophes

The links weren’t showing up because some weird character had been used instead of a normal apostrophe. I’ve altered the track names and inserted regular apostrophes.

These recordings are now also available from Four Corners Record Store, Shop street, Galway and Noel McQuaid Music Shop, Nenagh.

when i click on the links to some of these tunes to get the sheetmusic it will take me to a different song, for example I clicked on the ‘New Policeman’ and it took me to ‘Bells of Tipperary.’ Is this some sort of a glitch?

Not a glitch

The Belles of Tipperary is another name for one of the tunes called the New Policeman

Some aren’t the same tune

what about songs like Michael Hynes‘…it sends me to elaine jefferys’ instead…which song is the one used in that set?

Re: Foinn Seisiun 2

O’Callaghan’s hornpipe in track 12 links to the polka instead of the hornpipe. Is there some way to force the tune number (1349 in this case) to be part of the link?

Re: Foinn Seisiun 2

I’m working on fixing up all the link pointers in this one. So far I’ve changed: Donegal Reel, O‘Callaghan’s, Lad O’Beirne’s Jig, Kerry Jig, Boys of the Town, Tommy Peoples’, and Cronin’s.
