Premix of Studio-recording new Comas album
I see in the "Recordings" section that Comas has a CD out. Does anyone know where I could get it? (Not much info on their site.)
at their concerts?
The first tune in track 1 (called "Tom Ginley’s" and attributed to trad. on the album) is only a not or two different from "The Starry Lane to Monaghan" by Ed Reavey.
The tune listed as Karen Tweed’s (in the set following James Kelly’s - Brendan McGlinchey’s) was actually made by N Holmes flute player and maker from Co Durham UK. The original doesn’t do that chromatic run in the B part - apart from once, far better for it too but a good rendition otherwise. If Comas had checked the Karen Tweed album they had taken it; Karen attributes it correctly.
