The Irish Concertina Two

First cd for over a decade! Worth the wait.

brilliant. i spent the whole week at his midwest concertina camp. the cd does him full justice. before noel hill i never fully appreciated slow airs. i loved to play them but never had the patience to listen to them. i get disappointed when the slow airs end because i want them to keep going on, when noel plays them. he plays so expressively.

and of course his reels, jigs, slides, stratspeys, and hornpipes are superb. crisp, pure, mind numbing cranns and the perfect amount of chords / drones.

the backing is all well done, as well. this is a concertina must.

there’s an easter egg (i.e. little hidden feature) in the sleeve booklet that he showed us. see if you can find it.

Great Cd, I prefer this to one to his first concertina CD. A lot of the tracks on this seem to be duets with fiddle player, Liam O’Connor which sound great!

now it is several years later and i cant remember what the "easter egg" was. does anyone have any idea?
