Sadly the spelling can’t be given correctly here as the t of tSean always reverts back to a capital - above.

This is a lovely CD of a master musician who plays some of the sweetest Fiddle music you are ever likely to hear. It is a joy from start to finish.

Unfortunately, the notes are ALL in Gaelic so I cannot enlighten you there.

Suffice to say if you love Irish Fiddle Music, you will want to check this CD out.
If you love Donegal Fiddle Music at it’s sweetest, you will already have it!

Track 6

There are two Reavy hornpipes here…. Quinn of Armagh and Lad O’Beirne’s

Re: Ón tSean-Am Anall

Anyone got any clue where to track down a copy of this cd or even the mp3 files? Seems to be lost to obscurity which is a shame considering the high quality of musicianship

Re: Ón tSean-Am Anall

Unfortunately, Daniel, Celtic Grooves closed several years ago, though there doesn’t appear to be any mention of this on the website. The clue are the ‘new releases’ depicted on the site’s homepage - http://celticgrooves.homestead.com/CGhome.html#.

There are no copies of Danny’s album for sale on the discogs page, just three people wanting one.

Meant to add this is his only available cd.

Re: Ón tSean-Am Anall

Good find, John, but that isn’t the same album.

Thanks for the info, GW. Good find John. There is another old LP of his called "The Donegal Fiddler" or something of that sort. Never released on CD as far as I can remember, and goodness knows where to find it now.

Re: Ón tSean-Am Anall

Seriously, Daniel, you really don’t want to hear ‘The Donegal Fiddler’.

Re: Ón tSean-Am Anall

thanks for the assistance! I had emailed the fella that runs Celtic Grooves a while back but he confirmed that the mail-order no longer exists and he didn’t know of a source for which to pick this album up from. Alas! I’ll have to make due with the album you were able to find, thanks Daniel!
