“The Aly Bain & Young Champions Scottish Tour was initiated and put together by the Jane Fraser National Organiser of the TMSA…”

Taped at a live performance in Ballachulish Community Hall and hosted, of couse, by Aly Bain, with piano acc. by Violet Tulloch. The Young Champions at the time were a group of first-class young musicians.

Scott Gardiner sings some great songs, but the shining moments for me, aside from the numerous fiddle tracks and dual clarsach playing, are the chamber pipes by Martyn Bennett on track 12.
