Sets in the City-Tipsy House

Long time San Francisco band. The current lineup is Jack Gilder on flute and concertina, Kevin Bernhagen on fiddle, and Richard Mandel on guitar. The album commerates the Thursday night set dance at the Plough and Stars in San Francisco, California.

Hahaha. So how much did Jack pay you to post this? 😉

PS if you omit the tune type from your recording info (e.g. “reels”, “hornpipes”), this website will automatically link by tune name to the sheetmusic and comments for the tunes.

Wow, thanks Andrea… your check’s in the mail. 😉

This would be a good time to correct a mistake I made in tune titles. The tune listed as “Sliabh Luachra” is actually called “The Wren’s Polka.” Also, the tune listed as “The Godfather” is actually called “The Road to Garrison.” The tune’s composer, Maurice Lennon, emailed us to straighten out the error, as you would find out if you followed the link.

No, I think the Godfather should be left as it is, because a) that’s how it is on the CD you’ve sold, and b) your mistake should be left to haunt and embarrass you for ever 😀

No worries, Dow, that’s not the sort of mistake that haunts me on recordings I’ve made… it’s the other kind of mistakes that do.

Re: Sets In The City

Does anyone know if copies of this album are still available?
