Dougie MacDonald is a Cape Breton fiddler. He was also recorded on Traditional Music from Cape Breton Island, the one with various artists. About half the tunes are by him, the other are by various others or traditional. Let me know if anyone wants more details. The Irish, in track 7, I haven’t figured out the name. I think it’s in A dorian. When I do I will post it. One of my favorites on the recording in Ship’s Anthem, a slow air by Phil Cunningham.
I forgot to say, here is the website were some of the abc transciptions for the tunes can be found, http://www.cranfordpub.com/dougie/tunes/index.htm.
