The Ulster Outcry

All pretty well-known tunes - except for “The Jolly Pigeons” which I posted a few days back. “Ar Leitheidi” were a group comprising the Dublin O’Brien family - Dinny on accordeon, Donncha [aged 13], on whistle, Mick [ 12] on uilleann pipes, Thomas [10] on fiddle, and Andrew [7], who, according to the sleeve notes “has mastered the bodhran, playing it correctly by hand rather than with the usual stick”.
Guest musicians are Dan Healy on flute, Maire Gairbhi, and Fergie Mac Amhlaoibh, both on fiddle.
Recorded in 1974, live in Mark McLaughlin’s bar in Dundalk.
