New Solo CD by Eliot Grasso, launched 25 May 2007 by Na Piobairi Uilleann (Dublin)

On Friday 25th May Na Piobairi Uilleann launched a new CD by American piper Eliot Grasso entitled Up Against the Flatirons.

Eliot Grasso:
Eliot was born in December 1983 to a musical family in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents Mary Helen and Mark, a fiddle player, are mainstays of the Irish music scene in Baltimore, and they saw to it that he attended sessions and céilithe throughout his childhood and teenage years. Having played the flute and tin whistle for a number of years, Eliot took up the pipes in 1995.

This is Eliot’s second solo album and follows the release of Standing Room Only in 2004. Eliot can also be heard on a number of other recordings, including Na Píobairí Uilleann’s compilation recording, A New Dawn, Uilleann Piping, Another Generation.
