This was an album made by Christy and friends soon before he, Donal Lunny, Andy Irvine and Liam O’Flynn formed Planxty. I don’t know how many of these are on "Prosperous", but imagine at least one or two of them are.

All of them, plus maybe Kevin Conneff on bodhran, if I remember correctly.

The album is named after Prosperous, a village in County Kildare.

nicholas :"Prosperous" is a great name for a village. Song most well-known on this cd probably "Cliffs of Duneen", pretty tune. [ sorry must calm down and post less on The Session, becoming a slight addict…]
