Information about the musician? Date of issue? Label? Catalogue number? Availability?

Why do so many people list albums here without bothering to supply such basic information? After all, it’s probably shorter to type than the tunes listing. 🙂

Besides the samples available on CD Baby, Hanz provided a flute track for Wooden Flute Obsession vol. 1, and a short sample is at Just click the MP3 symbol next to his name.

I stumbled on this guy’s name in a list of contemporary flute players and checked out his website.

I like the way he plays. Check out his playing of the Crock of gold and Pull the knife, it’s fun and quite groovy, when compared say to the playing of Kevin Crawford (the former tune) or Matt Molloy (the latter).

His website is pretty cool too.

I used to hear Hanz (I always thought it was Hans…) when I lived in Portland. Very handy player, with a sweet singing voice as well.
