The Irish music community owes a huge debt of gratitude to Mapleshade, a small record label with BIG vision, for coaxing Derrane out of retirement to share the spotlight with Gavin and McGrath. This is deeply satisfying music; intricate, lively and brimful of vim and vigour.

An important album - but without the connotations of dustiness and worthiness that the term important can imply.
