Tim Edey
Came across this in the local Oxfam shop, less than a week after Tim had played in Aberdeen with Breandan Begley and Kevin Henderson. The 2 events are not related. This is an "own-label" recording - "Gnatbite Records", made in 2001. Tim plays just about everything, but mainly accordion, in a style I would say, very similar to Sharon Shannon. Several traditional "test-pieces", such as the "Independence", the "Moving Cloud", and "The Gold Ring", the latter as a duet with Michael McGoldrick. Also several original compositions, as well, but I don’t think they’ve stood the test of time in the 8 years since this was recorded.

The Reculver polka set are all originals, he was commissioned by Kent County Council to write some music, and this set was inspired by a sunset at Reculver in Kent.
