Another find amongst the old LPs. This was recorded in Dublin in 1983 but released on a German label and was, I think, the 3rd album by this band. Members at this time were Manus Lunny, Gerry (banjo) O’Connor (fiddle/banjo), Peadar O’hUallaigh (or Howley) (flute), Mick Fitzgerald (vocals) and the extraordinary Norman King (vocals and bodhran). I have fond memories of seeing this band in the mid 1980’s in Edinburgh. I seem to remember that Peadar Howley hung around Edinburgh for a while at that time but I have never bumped into him since.

Altogether , now……………

"Freddy was a charmer,
Freddy was the lad,
Freddy wasn’t always good,
But sure he wasn’t all that bad".
