Carmel Gunning is an outstanding whisle player and singer from Sligo, and the organizer of annual Queen Maeve Summer School, which I joined this summer.

Her playing features the combination of powerful tonging and smooth phrasing with lots of ornamentations. But it’s totally beyond words. I’m always speechless while listening to this recording.
