The title is in reference to South Uist from where the artist hails with Gaelic being his native language. There the artist received piping tuition from Fred Morrison Snr before joining the T.A. where he played under P/M John Burgess MBE, FSA after which he became a police officer and played with the Strathclyde Police during their winning streak.
