Evergreen is a great CD for anyone who enjoys folk music played with a combination of driving rhythm, lyrical melodies, and tunes played with sensitivity and energy. Becky Tracy brings this all in on her first solo recording. This recording brings music traditions from Ireland, Brittany, Canada, the US, and original works by Keith Murphy together in a superb mix of tunes.
Becky is a renowned fiddler currently performing with Nightingale and Wild Asparagus. Both of these bands have toured the US, Canada, and Europe. She is just as at home on the concert stage as on the dance floor.
Her husband Keith Murphy joins her on this album. Keith is a much sought after accompanist, performing with Assembly (formally known as Popcorn Behavior), Nightingale, and as a guest with Wild Asparagus. He is a staple musician on this recording playing guitar, piano, mandolin, pump organ, and foot percussion.
Other guest artist include Jeremiah Mclane, David Cantieni, Benedict Koehler, and Bill Tomczak.
