You fans of Julie Langan and Verena Commin’s record will like this one as well. Box and fiddle playing a good selection of tunes at a nice laid-back pace. Some bodhran from Johnny McDonagh, Sean O Loingsigh plays bouzouki, and Eugene Kelly plays piano, but the focus is on the box and fiddle.

This version of Paidin O Raifeartaigh isn’t very close to the original reference (#12475).

Both it and #741 strike me as different settings of the same tune but, if they’re going to be kept separate, the one on this recording is much closer to #741.
