The Makems

I’d never heard of this "Outlet" label recording before, but it was included in a collection I bought on eBay a few months ago.
The players are Jack Makem [ songs /whistle ], and his sons Tommy [ 5-string banjo ], and Gerry [ uilleann pipes ].
Jack Makem is the brother of Tommy, of "Clancy Brothers" fame.
Released in 1981, I quite liked the music, in a nostalgic sort of way, but it does sound very dated today.

Re: The Makems At Home

For reasons I don’t understand at all, this is now on iTunes, but with 27 tracks, not the 18 on the original album. I’ve changed the artists’ name to "The Makems" so that it links to the iTunes recording. Maybe "Arran Records" - who posted the iTunes link above a year ago can shed some light ?
