Debut unaccompanied solo album by the young Kerry harper (daughter of Mick and sister of Louise), released by Cló-Iar Chonnacht, CICD 189.
‘The Karen March’ is her own composition, as is ‘Celia’s Jig’. ‘The Shallow’ (‘An Tanaí) comes from Martin Hayes’ first album.
‘The Peacock’s Feather No. 2’ is a D major rendition of the hornpipe.
‘Micho’s Mason’s Apron’ is derived from the version on the ‘Ireland’s Whistling Ambassador’ album.
Tracks 4 and 10 are slow airs.
‘May Bán’ was composed by Junior Crehan.
This album is pure magic.
