Christy Dunne is one of the best banjo players in Ireland so go buy the Cd you’ll get your moneys worth. (Am I right Pa)

I’ve only heard Christy Dunne before once, playing on Paul Brock’s Mo Chairdín album. It was hard enough to judge how good he was as his banjo was not too dominant and it didn’t feature on all tracks.

This album, however, goes down as one of the best banjo albums in my collection (along with Kevin Griffin’s “Trad music from Doolin” and Kieran Hanrahan “Plays the Tenor Banjo”). There is a great selection of tunes here too and some nice versions of popular tunes (eg The Oak Tree, Toss the Feathers).
