Hi Iain - good to "see" you here! Touchwood is a great album of Scottish fiddle music from 2002. Some of the tunes are in Iain’s book Scottish Fiddle Tunes [2006]. On the album, Iain is joined by Christine Hanson on cello, that particular combination being well established in the Scottish tradition, dating back to the 18th century.

Great blend of instruments. I came across this recording when looking for versions of the Cropie strathspey to listen to, although I think I like that first strathspey in the set even better.
Has a bit of a classical feel to it.
