Off the Floor

Wendy MacIsaac is an award-winning fiddler, piano player and step dancer from Creignish, Cape Breton. A born performer, she began appearing publicly at age 5 as a step dancer. At age 12, she began fiddle lessons with Stan Chapman. By age fifteen, Wendy was playing dances all over Cape Breton Island, forming the sound that makes her so recognizable today. Wendy has toured all over the world as a solo performer, and with The Rankins, Mary Jane Lamond, Ashley MacIsaac and Cape Breton Celtic Supergroup, Beolach – she is a favourite with traditional audiences everywhere. “Off the Floor” is Wendy’s 6th recording and will no doubt join the legacy of her other albums as Cape Breton Fiddle “must haves”. She’ll be joined by the amazing talents of JJ Chaisson on Guitar and Darla MacPhee on Piano.

I’ve corrected four typos in the track list. Looking forward to getting this. Wendy is my favorite Cape Breton fiddler. It’s available on iTunes, Amazon, a bunch of shops in Cape Breton, directly from her at concerts, and from her dad.

Thanks Gary!
She is an awesome fiddler!

Re: Off the Floor

On the 8th track there is a tune listing missing…. Mary’s Fancy, between the St. Kilda Wedding and the Old King’s reel. Great tune. Great CD.
