Sean O’Brien is currently one of the world’s leading exponents of Irish Dance Music. Over a 14 year period Sean has played at feisanna across the US, Ireland, the UK, Europe and Australasia and has performed at every major championship including the All Ireland’s and World Irish Dance Championships. He is one of the most sought after feis musicians currently on the circuit due to his dynamic, rhythmic style of playing as well as his versatility in comfortably and competently moving deftly between the accordion and the piano.
Sean’s ever evolving musical signature as well as his adaptability is due partly to his experience in working with many musical genres that sit outside the realm of traditional Irish music. A classically trained pianist and accordionist, Sean worked and performed as a songwriter early on in his career, developing a great understanding and appreciation for the art of composition, arrangement, production and live performance.
