Here we got a Brazilian pearl performing excellent Traditional Irish tunes!
From Rio Grande do Sul, south of Brazil, Irish Fellas are one of the most known band of Irish Music in Brazil, they are great researchers of this musical tradition and contribute significantly to spread this style through the Samba Land.
Recently they were mentioned at the “A Thousand Welcomes”,a program from the WFUV’s Radio from New York. One of the most important program of Irish Music in USA. You can hear it at their Soundcloud page, and other stuff:
Irish Fellas are:
Caetano Maschio Santos (Mandolin, Banjo, Flute, Tin Whistle, Fiddle, Voice)
Victor de Franceschi (Piano, Guitar, Voice)
Renato Müller (Button Box D/G, B/C and C/F, Voice)
Review by The Irish Echo, Irish American most older and read periodic from USA:
“The arrangements are well conceived but not overly ambitious, the playing is solid throughout and band’s passion for traditional Irish music is very apparent. (…) What Irish Fellas has here is an enjoyable album of rough and ready music and what is lacks in polish it more than makes up for in spirit”. (Daniel Neely)
