Patrick has also toured with renowned Irish American vocalist Cathie Ryan, accordion virtuoso John Whelan, and Moya Brennan of Clannad fame. Noted Irish Echo and Wall Street Journal music critic, Earle Hitchner, has stated that he “embodies all that is admirable and durable about the Irish tradition in America.” Patrick has also been recognized for his own compositions, receiving first prize honors in the BMG sponsored World of Expression competition for his piece, “September Sky,” which is featured on Departures.
