Re: Crossroads (Traditional Music from Ireland, Italy, Brittany & Beyonds)

“Crossroads” starts with Marco, accompanied by Eoghan O’Brien on guitar, playing three beautiful and fairly recently composed reels by Sean Ryan, Josephine Keegan and Paddy O’Brien. This is great traditional Irish fiddle playing – except by an Italian, Marco Fabbri, born in Rome in 1959.

He started to play fiddle in 1980 and was already in love with Irish music…just loved the sound and spirit of it. He even went to Ireland in 1985 and immersed himself in the music; spent some years there, mostly in Belfast; joined a local band, Ultan, and toured Europe with them.
