Across sixteen tracks, this remarkably accomplished debut album from the young Dublin fiddle player features music from a wide range of sources and in a wide variety of arrangements, including many with close musical friends of Aidan’s.

Fantastic!

Aidan has an amazing pulse/groove. Nice steady pace - not too fast. Good solid variations and ornamentation without being too flashy. Well worth a listen.

Lovely stuff. I particularly like the track Miss Johnson’s/Primrose Lass . I was fortunate enough to meet Aidan in Dublin and have a few tunes. A total open gentlemen. You can see where the heart in his music comes from. Hopefully we will see him visit Boston, Ma. soon.

Track #7, “The Flowing Bow”, is almost certainly a slightly altered version of “The Piper’s Despair”.
Track #9, the setting of “The Woman Of The House” is quite removed from the more common “standard” version. Same applies to “Down The Broom”.
