Re: Cormac Begley

I received a “promo” copy of this just over an hour ago, for use on our local radio programme. Listening to it now, and unsurprisingly, it is excellent - both in the playing, and the choice of tunes. I’m going to make it our “Album of the Month” for April, so we’ll be playing at least one track a week starting from the 5th of April.
Recommended unreservedly.
And thanks to Bob Buchan and his agency for sending us this musical masterpiece.

PS - Tony - I edited track #6, as it’s 2 reels, not 3. The first is “Paddy Canny’s Pigeon On The Gate”- presumably Paddy Canny’s version of “The Pigeon On The Gate”, and not 2 reels, “Paddy Canny’s” followed by “The Pigeon On The Gate”.

Track 3, schottisches

Both schottisches in track 3 are currently linking wrongly above: the first (Joe Bane’s) to the reel of that name, and the second (The Streamstown) to the jig of that name.

This ‘The Streamstown’ (schottische) now at https://thesession.org/tunes/16308
