Re: The essential Irish Collection

A lot of popular tunes, quite fun though.

Re: The Essential Irish Collection

Drowsy Maggie, an Irish band hailing from Birmingham. This cd’s pretty hard to get hold of now. There must
be lots and lots of very popular Irish folk music recordings, so maybe this one’s no longer much seen.

Re: The Essential Irish Collection

This really is not bad though some folk might sniff about it being all old favourites.

Re: The Essential Irish Collection

There is also a CD called "NU TRAD". (Nu has \ sign on it).

Re: The Essential Irish Collection

There’s confusion here.

The first band called Drowsy Maggie comes from Birmingham, UK and has been going for some thirty years. It’s discography can be found here - https://www.discogs.com/artist/3981546-Drowsy-Maggie.

‘Nú Trad’ was recorded by an entirely different German band of the same name.
