Irish Music on the Harpsichord

This recording is a mixture of old and newly-composed pieces of music. Some tunes recall the Irish harping repertoire; others reference ancient chants and traditional airs.

Tracks 1 and 14 are Dowland pieces. O’Carolan is the source of tracks 3, 10 and 13. Claire composed the tunes on tracks 4, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12. The remainder (2, 5 and 6) are traditional.

Liam Lewis plays fiddle on tracks 5 and 10.
