I really like this one. Both John and Kieran play very powerfully and also very sweetly, and when they play together, they really gel, especially when Dennis Cahill joins em with his trademark jazzy style. Also, there are a number of unusual tunes mixed in with the more standard ones, so it’s good for learning tunes.
I love this CD! I recomend it to all flute and/or whistle players. And everyone else for that matter.
I agree with what was said above, these guys are great together.
I love the whistle tracks!!!
Although I love the flute tracks, my favorites are the tracks that they play the whistle on. It’s just beautiful!

Re: Double-Barrelled / Joe Bane’s Reel
Anyone have more info about the first reel on track 2, called Joe Bane’s ….? The link refers to a Bardance, which is wrong. I thank you in advance.
Re: Double-Barrelled
Joe Bane has had numerous tunes attached to his name. That particular reel sounds to me like a setting of “Rattigan’s reel” but adapted for wind instruments to avoid the low notes below D. I have a feeling - without checking - that other Co. Clare musicians such as Mary MacNamara may have recorded it.

Thank you very much Kenny, it looks like it is.
