The McCarthy’s - children of the renowned Tommy McCarthy (sen) who lived much of his life in North London - pay tribute to their dad, mentor, guiding light.
Jacqueline (concertina), Marion (pipes/whistle), Bernadette (fiddle/piano) and Tommy Junior (fiddle) are joined by guests (who, as far as I can tell are also partners) Tommy Keane (flute/fiddle - eschewing his trademark pipes), Johnny Giles (whistle), Henry Benagh (fiddle) and Lousie Costello (accordion).
Features archive material of Tommy Senior (tracks 6, 13 and 21).
A very warm, tender and honest album.
