from AllMusic:
"This CD was put together as a benefit to help block the attempt to put an "interpretative centre" on the Burren, the limestone plain in County Clare, Ireland. It features an excellent cross-section of the Irish music scene, including unaccompanied singing, traditional and contemporary folk, pop, and country and western."

For anyone unfamilar with the controversy you can read about what happened here:,_County_Clare

As for the music, the players listed should tell you all you need to know about the quality, but what is notable to me was that this came out before the first albums by either Kevin or Moving Cloud. Great stuff.
